Official Contest Rules

1. Sponsor

The Love One Another Benefit Concert Writing Contest (the "Contest") is sponsored by Rock Cellar Magazine / BACK PAGE MAGAZINE INC, with a principal place of business at 21900 Plummer St, Chatsworth, CA, USA 91311.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry:

• Are 21 years of age or older, and
• Are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, and
• Are able to attend the Love One Another Benefit Concert in The Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on May 30th, 2026 at their own expense.

Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor, the concert venue, participating artists, promotional partners, judging panel members, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members are not eligible. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Contest Period

The Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time ("PT") on April 8th; entries close on May 5th, winner announced on May 10th (the "Entry Period"). Sponsor's server/computer is the official time-keeping device.

4. How to Enter

During the Entry Period:

• Visit the Contest page at https://rockcellarproductions.com/contest/
• Complete the entry form with your name, email, city, and either paste or upload your piece.
• Check the box confirming you agree to these Official Rules and that the work is your original creation.
• Click Submit Your Entry.

Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person, automated entries, or entries using multiple email addresses may result in disqualification, at Sponsor's sole discretion.

No purchase is required and a purchase does not improve your chances of winning.

5. Entry Requirements

Your entry must:

• Respond to the prompt: "Tell us about a moment when you chose unity over division."
• Be a short written piece, poem, spoken word text, or song lyrics.
• Be 200–300 words or reasonably performable in 3 minutes or less.
• Be your own original work, not generated by AI, not plagiarized, and not subject to any agreement that would limit Sponsor's use as described in these Rules.
• Be in English.
• Describe a real experience of choosing unity over division from your own life or from someone you know, and may include reasonable creative editing or storytelling.

By submitting an entry, you represent and warrant that the story you share is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you have not knowingly fabricated key facts.

Entries must not:

• Include hate speech; harassment; threats; or disparagement of any group based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or similar characteristics.
• Contain pornographic, obscene, or excessively violent content.
• Promote illegal activity, drugs, or firearms.
• Contain strong partisan political advocacy or campaign messaging.
• Infringe any third-party rights (including music, lyrics, trademarks, images, or personal rights).

Sponsor may disqualify any entry that, in its sole discretion, violates these requirements.

6. Judging and Winner Selection

This is a skill-based contest, not a game of chance.

All eligible entries received during the Entry Period will be reviewed by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor. Judges will score entries on the following criteria (the "Judging Criteria"):

• Relevance to theme (unity over division) – 30%
• Emotional impact and authenticity – 30%
• Creativity and originality – 25%
• Suitability for live performance at the concert – 15%

The entry with the highest overall score will be deemed the potential winner. In the event of a tie, the tied entries will be re-judged by the panel. Judges' decisions are final and binding.

Sponsor reserves the right not to award a winner if, in its sole discretion, it receives no eligible entries of sufficient quality.

7. Winner Notification and Verification

The potential winner will be notified via email on or about May 10th, 2026 at the email address provided at entry. The potential winner may be required to complete and return, within 5 days:

• An Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Release,
• Any tax forms required by law, and
• Confirmation of ability to attend the concert in The Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on May 30th, 2026.

If the potential winner does not respond within the stated time, is found ineligible, fails to complete required documents, or cannot attend the event, Sponsor may, at its discretion, select an alternate winner or decline to award the prize.

Winner and any guest must present valid government-issued photo ID verifying age 21+ to access VIP and backstage areas, and must comply with all venue rules, including those related to alcohol.

8. Prize

One (1) winner will receive:

• Two (2) VIP tickets to the Love One Another Benefit Concert in in The Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles on May 30th, 2026 (winner and guest).
• The opportunity to perform or have their piece read live on stage at the concert (format determined in Sponsor's reasonable discretion).
• Backstage access in connection with the event, subject to venue and artist policies.
• Two (2) Rock Cellar VIP swag packs (contents determined by Sponsor).
• Feature coverage of the winner and/or their piece in Rock Cellar Magazine properties (e.g., website, email, social media), in Sponsor's discretion.

Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of prize: US $5,000.00. Actual value may vary and any difference will not be awarded.

Travel, transportation, lodging, meals, parking, and any other costs associated with attending the event are NOT included and are the sole responsibility of the winner. If winner cannot attend, the prize may be forfeited and Sponsor shall have no further obligation, although Sponsor may, in its discretion, still publish the winning piece.

Prize is non-transferable and may not be substituted or redeemed for cash, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or any component) of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable. The winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use.

9. Rights in Entries / Publicity

By entering, you:

Represent and warrant that your entry is your original work, that you own all rights in it, and that it does not infringe or violate any third-party rights.

Grant Sponsor and its designees a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, adapt, modify, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, and otherwise exploit your entry (in whole or in part), your name, likeness, voice, city, and biographical information, in any media now known or later developed, for editorial, promotional, and any other lawful purposes, without additional compensation, notification, or permission, except where prohibited by law.

Agree that Sponsor may record, photograph, and/or livestream your performance at the concert, and may use such recordings and images as described above.

Winners may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity activities surrounding the Contest and concert. Sponsor is not obligated to and does not independently verify the factual accuracy of any entry, and judging is based on the expressed theme and creative merit of the submission, not on fact-checking.

10. Privacy

Information collected from entrants will be used:

• To administer the Contest,
• To communicate with entrants about the Contest and related content, and
• If you have opted in (or if Sponsor's standard contest process includes subscription as a condition of entry), to send you marketing communications from Sponsor, from which you may unsubscribe at any time.

11. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to:

• Disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or violating these Official Rules;
• Cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest;
• Substitute judges and adjust judging timelines as reasonably necessary.

If the Contest is terminated before the end of the Entry Period, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select a winner from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of such termination.

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any social media platform (including, without limitation, Meta / Facebook / Instagram). You understand you are providing your information to Sponsor and not to such platforms.

12. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, the venue, participating artists, promotional partners, judges, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of:

• Participation in the Contest;
• Travel to and attendance at the concert;
• Any use of your entry or likeness as permitted under these Rules; or
• Receipt, use, or misuse of the prize.

You assume all risks associated with travel, event attendance, and participation. Nothing in these Rules limits liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Governing Law / Disputes

The Contest and these Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to class action, and shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

14. Winner Information

The first name, last initial, and city of the winner may be published on Rock Cellar Magazine's website and/or social media channels after the winner is confirmed.
